Dr Herfina Nababan
Biography
Herfina Nababan is a part-time consultant with the World Health Organization (WHO) Centre for Health Development in Kobe from April 2024, supporting the programme of research on Metrics for monitoring UHC in the context of population ageing. She is currently also a research associate with the Department of Global Health at University of Bremen in Germany. Prior to this, she worked as the officer for Universal Health Coverage with WHO Country Office for Indonesia. Between 2012 – 2016 she worked with International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research Bangladesh (icddr,b) in different research projects related to health systems and policy research, as well as maternal, newborn and child health.
Herfina completed her medical training from Indonesia. She received a master’s degree from Global Health Policy Department at the University of Tokyo – Japan and obtained her PhD degree from Nossal Institute for Global Health at the University of Melbourne – Australia.
