Greer van Zyl has worked for all three levels of WHO, serving as a Health Information and Promotion Officer at the WHO Country Office in South Africa (2000-2006) and as the Speech Writer for the Regional Director in the African Region (2016-2019) in Brazzaville, Congo. She worked remotely as a communications consultant for the World Health Organization Centre for Health Development (WHO Kobe Centre - WKC) from 2019-2022 and rejoined the Centre in November 2023.
She has a B.Journ from Rhodes University and a Master of Public Health from the University of the Witwatersrand, specialising in Social and Behavioural Change Communication. She has worked in health systems research for 12 years.
