Overview
Four different scoping or narrative reviews were carried out to investigate sex- and gender-based disparities in access to, and affordability of, long-term care (LTC). In these reviews, differences in LTC expenditure and utilization between men and women, varying burdens between male and female caregivers, potentially effective programmes and policies to mitigate sex- and gender-based differences in access to LTC, and the additional barriers to access experienced by gender minority groups were examined.
