Director of the WHO Centre for Health Development, Dr Sarah Louise Barber, gave the keynote address to the Pan Pacific High School Leaders Meeting for Sustainable Friendship 2024, hosted by the educational foundation of Osaka Medical and Pharmaceutical University and Takatsuki Junior and Senior High School.
The theme of the event was to create a global community where people can enjoy good health and peace of mind. It was attended by about 100 high school students from schools in the Kansai region. Students worked in break out sessions to discuss and propose solutions to problems of global significance and presented these to participants and leaders in the community.
