Evidence and knowledge from research and experience play a vital role in developing and implementing evidence-informed policies and programmes in Health Emergency and Disaster Risk Management (Health EDRM).
The Health EDRM Research and Knowledge Hub is an online information-sharing platform providing up-to-date evidence and knowledge to strengthen Health EDRM research capacities. It is a resource for translating evidence into policy and practice for a wide range of stakeholders, including policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and broader communities.
The WKC initiated research projects and developed multimedia learning materials for five key research themes in Health EDRM, identified in the 2018 WHO Health EDRM expert meeting: Research Methods for Health EDRM, Health Data Management, Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), Community Disaster Risk Management, and Workforce Development. We share the research evidence and resources from these activities on the Health EDRM Research and Knowledge Hub.
