This report contains the recommendations of the Bureaus of the Eighth Session of the Conference of the Parties to the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, and the First Session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products on the process of appointment of the Head of the Secretariat, based on the experience gained and comments received from Parties intersessionally, and on any other matters that should be considered for future appointments, in accordance with decisions FCTC/COP8(8) and FCTC/MOP1(12).
