This report introduces the requirements of the Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products (Protocol) on the establishment of a tracking and tracing system, including the global information-sharing focal point and the identification markings that must be implemented by Parties within a certain period following the entry into force of the Protocol.
