This comparative country study examines the integration of health and social care services for ageing populations across the Asia Pacific region, with a special focus on Hong Kong, Seoul, Thiruvananthapuram and Shanghai. The study explores the challenges and strategies for coordinating public and private sector efforts to support older persons, emphasizing the role of integrated care across health and social services in enhancing accessibility, affordability and continuity of services. Insights from each case reveal varied approaches to bridging the health-social care divide, providing valuable lessons for developing comprehensive strategies tailored to ageing populations across diverse contexts.
