This report summarizes the main activities conducted by the Convention Secretariat in relation to the
Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products (Protocol) between the seventh and eighth
sessions of the Conference of the Parties to the WHO FCTC. It includes: a) an update on the status of
the Protocol; b) activities carried out to promote entry into force of the Protocol; and c) the work of the
Panel of Experts on the Protocol.
